CRYSTAL BEACH - Law enforcement officers and first responders throughout Galveston County were exceptionally busy over the Labor Day weekend and the Bolivar Penisula was no different.

The handful of Sheriff's Deputies assigned that area, supplemented by Constable Deputies, were in 'fast forward' mode both Saturday and Sunday.

The Sheriff's Office reported 18 arrests and over 30 tickets issued Sunday.  Most of the tickets were for either alcohol violations on the beach or driving violations.

Two of the arrests were for felony crimes, one for drug possession, the other for Indecency with a Child.
