A former Richmond resident will serve 30 months in prison for selling counterfeit goods to the federal government.

Robert Edman 30, formerly of Richmond, Texas, pleaded guilty in 2009 to selling more than $1.4 million in fake Cisco products to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, United States Attorney José Angel Moreno announced today.

U.S. District Judge Vanessa Gilmore on Tuesday sentenced Edman to the prison term and also ordered that he serve a three-year-term of supervised release upon his release from prison.
